Sometimes I wonder if people think their heads will pop if they hear too much. Or maybe people are afraid if they hear just one thing that deeply moves them too much that their lives won't ever be the same again.
Most people like to learn about science, politics and new discoveries but ancient discoveries (and wisdom), particularly those that deal with God or Jesus Christ are often met with mockery, rejected outright or belittled as nothing more than fairy tales.
Can people not listen to someone's beliefs in an interested, attentive and learning manner without feeling threatened, fearful or
annoyed?
I like to absorb all the knowledge I can and then use critical thinking, humility, meekness and prayer to decide what is good, what is right and what is true.
I find it fascinating what other people believe (or don't believe).
Are you open to learning about religious doctrine that differs from yours? Can you do so while remaining respectful?
Do you engage in religious discussion in order to mock, belittle or ridicule?
I am just as curious about anti-religious types and atheists as I am the deeply faithful.
